Story:EDITORIAL
MiraCosta trio merit return to trustee board
OUR VIEW: Unanimity needed in hiring of new president
We want the gem of a community college that North County has in MiraCosta College to remain one of the premier two-year institutions in the state, despite the recent conflict between faculty and the elected board of trustees. We believe that admirable goal is obtainable by sticking with today's board. A key element is to hire a new president on a unanimous vote. For more of this story, click on or type the URL below:http://www.nctimes.com/articles/2008/10/01/opinion/editorials/zb15e26280ec662f5882574d400540cd1.txt

9/27/08 (SDUT) For MiraCosta board: McNeil, Carranza and Simon (UT Editorial)The MiraCosta College governing system is broken. The public gets that...The cleanup at MiraCosta begins with knocking off a majority board member. We endorse George McNeil for seat 5...We endorse Gloria Carranza for MiraCosta seat 4...We like Jacqueline Simon for seat 3....http://www.signonsandiego.com/uniontrib/20080927/news_lz1mi27edtop.html.
